Ranging in size from 80w to 390w, and with both 12v and 14v options, charge your RV battery using a renewable energy source that allows you to really get off-the-grid. Many of our newer products include monocrystalline panels, which provide a better electricity flow and are more efficient.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is solar on an RV worth it?
Adding a solar power set up to your RV is a great way to make use of the sun’s free energy – allowing you access to stored power while you’re not plugged into mains. Depending on the capacity of your solar panels, you may be able to power up necessities such as your fridge, fans, lights, and small appliances. Read more about the benefits of solar power, or contact your local RV Super Centre to find out about getting set up.
Can you run an RV air conditioner with solar power?
Because air conditioners are very power-thirsty, they generally need to be plugged into mains power to operate. Solar power is ideal for smaller appliances such as fans.
How many solar panels do you need to run an RV?
There is no one-size-fits-all solar power system. Everyone's needs are different and will vary depending on the quantity and type of appliances you use in your motorhome, how long you want to go off-grid, how many people are on board, etc.
Most motorhome owners who are setting up with solar power for the first time will start with around 100 – 175W of solar power and build up from there.
